The cov’nant of free grace

Was made with Christ our Head;

And God’s elect were blessed in Him

Before the worlds were made.

Each cov’nant blessing is

In Christ, the Sur’ty mine,

Flowing from God’s eternal love

And bought by blood divine!

This cov’nant is the source

Of all my joy and peace.

It stands secure. It cannot fail,

‘Til God himself shall cease!
