The blood of Christ was not

For sinners shed in vain!

Hence, every sinner must be saved

For whom the Lord was slain.

The justice of our God

Demands that all be freed

For whom Christ died a Substitute

Their debt's been fully paid!

With confidence and praise

My soul therefore is filled,

Since justice has the Savior's blood

For this poor sinner spilled.

I know Christ died for me,

(I cannot doubt His Word!),

For chosen, and redeemed, and called,

I trust Him as my Lord.

"All who believe," He said,

"Possess eternal life."

Believing, I know Christ loves me

And died to give me life!
