MY FATHER, GRANT THE GRACE I NEED

Don Fortner

(Tune: Must Jesus Bear The Cross Alone?   #342   CM)

My Father, grant the grace I need My life’s affairs to leave

To the disposal of Your will, Peace and contentment give.

Why should I tremble at Your will, Whose love forbids my doubts?

My Father, make Your pleasure mine, And drive away my clouds.

O let me freely yield to You The thing that I most prize.

I want to trust Your grace and love, My Father, great and wise.

“Goodness and mercy follow me.” That is, I know, the truth.

Yet, in this sinful flesh, I am Prone to oppose them both!

Still, in my inmost soul, I cry, Father, Your will be done.

Do what You will with me and mine, To glorify Your Son.
