In everlasting love and grace

God chose His own elect;

Our names inscribed in His great book,

He never can forget.

He chose His people in His Son,

To be His holy bride;

Christ took us for His own and He

Agreed for us to die!

He saw us ruined by the fall

In sin and deep distress;

Yet, He would not forget or change

His great designs of grace!

When in the fulness of the time

Christ Jesus came to save,

He took our debts to be His own!

For us He was made sin!
