I BOAST NOT OF MY OWN FREE WILL

I boast not of my own free will,

Nor of good works that I have done,

But in God's mighty, sov'reign will,

And in the work of Christ, His Son.

A sinner lost and dead was I.

I could not, and I would not come.

'Til God the Spirit, from on high,

Was sent in love to fetch me home.

By grace that I could not resist,

He drew me and caused me to come

He gave me life and faith in Christ,

And, yes, made me willing to come.
