Father, fill Your chosen servant,

As he stands Your Word to preach;

Fill him with the Holy Spirit,

That his words our hearts may reach.

Feed Your thirsty, hungry children

With the living Word of God;

Bathe our souls, refresh our spirits,

And revive our hearts, our God.

Here are sinners lost and helpless,

Dead in trespasses and sin;

Will You give them faith in Jesus?

Save them from their death and sin!

Send Your Spirit to those chosen

And redeemed by Jesus' blood;

Grant them faith and make them willing

To be reconciled to God.

Father, Son, and Holy Spirit,

Make Your holy presence known;

May Your love, and grace, and mercy

To us sinners now be shown.

Sweetly now reveal Your glory,

Fix our hearts on You alone,

While we sing and tell the story

Of what God by grace has done.
