Almighty God, my Strength and Shield,

Omnipotent, my King!

His power upholds my feeble frame

And governs everything:

Though I was born a sinner dead

And wandered far away,

He gave me life by sovereign power

And took my guilt away.

Through my Redeemer's precious blood,

I know the power of God;

For by His blood and saving power,

I am a child of God:

When He appears the tempter flies

And all my fears depart:

He holds me in His mighty hand,

And He secures my heart.

Lord, evermore exert Your power

To guide me in Your way,

Until I reach my home above

At Your appointed day:

There I will ever praise the Lamb

For His redeeming blood

With everlasting songs of grace,

Triumphant in my God!
