WHO IS RUNNING THIS WORLD?

Some think the world is governed by some unexplainable, fixed law, called THE LAW OF NATURE. Those who teach this are rationalists. They refuse to believe anything that cannot be explained upon natural grounds. The basis of all they believe must be found under a microscope, in a test tube, or in a hypothesis. A hypothesis is any wild, baseless guess that denies God!

Others imagine that everything comes to pass by CHANCE or mere coincidence. Most people are great believers in luck. Most think nothing is certain, fixed, and absolute, but that one thing is just as likely to happen as another. Those people court, adore, and ascribe everything to three imaginary goddesses: Lady Luck, Misfortune, and Mother Nature.

Cold, psuedo-intellectuals often assert that everything in the world is ruled by a cold, impersonal force called FATE. Their idea of a benediction was expressed in the movie "Star Wars", when someone said, "The Force be with you."

THE BIBLE TEACHES THAT THE SOVEREIGN MASTER OF THE UNIVERSE IS GOD ALMIGHTY, AND THAT HE ALWAYS RULES ALL THINGS ACCORDING TO HIS OWN PURPOSE OF GRACE IN PREDESTINATION (Psa. 115:3; 135:6; Isa. 40:12-17; Eph. 1:10-11; Col. 1:17; Heb. 1:3). The entire universe is constantly and absolutely ruled by the power of God, according to the plan of God, to accomplish the purpose of God, which is the salvation of his elect and the glory of his own great name.
