Above all else, I believe
that both private and public worship should have the distinguishing
characteristic of praise. Beloved, let us worship the Lord today with praise.
The confession and lamentation of sin is needful. Requests and intercessions
are proper. But praise is the heart of worship. Remember the multitude of God's
tender mercies, his glorious majesty, and his saving redemption, and let your
heart go out to our Triune God in grateful adoration. "O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name
together."
