THE ETERNAL GOD DIED FOR ME!

Last night, while I was preaching the gospel of God's rich and free grace in the Lord Jesus Christ, this thought came rushing upon my heart by the power of God the Holy Spirit, with more reality and overwhelming force than at anytime in my life - THE ETERNAL, IMMUTABLE GOD OF HEAVEN AND EARTH DIED FOR ME! "He LOVED ME and GAVE HIMSELF FOR ME." He did not die for Cain. He did not die for Pharaoh. He did not die for Judas. He did not die for the multitudes of the damned in hell, men and women far more noble, useful and honorable than me. But the Lord Jesus Christ, God the eternal Son, took upon himself human flesh, went to the cross, assumed my sin and guilt before God's holy law, and voluntarily laid down his life under the wrath of God for me! His love is a personal love. His grace is special grace. His redemption is particular redemption.
