Reflections

What a tremendous year we have had together in the service of our God and Savior! The Lord has graciously opened numerous doors of utterance for the gospel before us, literally around the world. It appears that he has made our labors effectual to many.

I cannot begin to keep track of the thousands of tracts that have been distributed. However, we have mailed out over 5000 cassette tapes, more than 600 video tapes, and several hundred books this year.

The Grace Bulletin is being mailed into the homes of over 800 families each month in 47 states and 14 foreign countries. Bro. Allen Rowe distributes 75 copies each month in Australia. These are mailed only to people who have personally requested them.

Bro. Bob Poncer continues to play video tapes of our messages over the Danville Cablevision each Sunday morning. Every Sunday afternoon, Bro. Ron Wood preaches the gospel to the residents of Friendship House/Fellowship Home. On Mondays, some of our members go there to visit with and read the Scriptures to the patients. Also, as we meet here, there are small bands of believers gathered in living rooms in Florida, Georgia, Texas, New York, Ohio, and California to watch our video tapes and worship with us around the throne of our Redeemer. These are men and women who have no pastor to feed their souls, or local church with whom they can worship and serve Christ.

A new avenue of ministry which began in August is the Grace For Today web page (http://www.hway.net/grace), maintained by Bros. Phil Simpson and Ross Pennisi in Boca Raton, Florida. Via the Internet, they are making our literature and tapes available to people around the world. Numerous articles by other gospel preachers (past and present) are also posted on the Grace For Today web page. Just since August, they have had over 61,000 visits to the web page from 24 countries besides the United States. A similar service is provided by Bro. Ron Thompson in Ashland, Kentucky on the Sovereign Grace Articles web page (http://www.wwd.net/user/ront).

In January we began distributing my fourth book, Life After Pentecost, a commentary on Acts, published by Evangelical Press.

In addition to these things, through your generosity and faithfulness, we have been able to increase the support of our missionary ministries in the USA and around the world. And I have held meetings this year in forty-one different places.

I cannot adequately express my deep gratitude for your generosity and faithfulness to the cause of Christ, and your prayers for me as I endeavor to preach the gospel here and around the world by every means at our disposal. As we begin our eighteenth year of ministry together, may the Lord be pleased to give us even greater opportunities of service for the glory of Christ, the furtherance of the gospel, and the increase of his kingdom. In all things, I trust that he will give us grace that we may be found faithful.
