No Compromise In Message Or Method!

Recently, a friend of mine received a video tape from a preacher in which, in the place of preaching the gospel, he and several others had acted out what he thought might take place at the judgment. Though I did not see the video, I did read the manuscript. Without question, it was doctrinally orthodox. But the whole thing was a compromise of Christ and the gospel.

God did not send his servants into the world to put on theatrical productions by which we might entertain sinners on the road to hell. He has sent us to preach the gospel of Christ, demanding hell-bent rebels to surrender to the claims of the sovereign Lord.

"But, preaching does not appeal to men any more. We can reach more people by giving them the truth in a package that appeals to them," I am told. "After all, who can argue with success?" I can and will! God's servants are not motivated by numbers or governed by popularity polls. The servant of God does not seek the recognition and approval of men, but their hearts and souls!

God chose by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe. I am ready to preach the gospel anywhere, to many or to few, because I know that it is the power of God unto salvation. God helping me, I will not compromise either God's message, SALVATION BY HIS FREE AND SOVEREIGN GRACE IN CHRIST,or God's method of grace, THE PREACHING OF THE GOSPEL!Compromise may lead to temporary success in the eyes of those who count noses,but it will only result in the eternal ruin of men's souls! Our concern must never be for success,but for the glory of God and the salvation of his elect. If those two things are our concern, compromise is impossible!
