MISSIONARY OFFERING NEXT SUNDAY EVENING

The Lord has greatly blessed us as a congregation. He has revealed the gospel of his grace to us. We have been blessed, as few assemblies have, to hear God's choice servants preach the gospel of Christ in the power of the Holy Spirit. Though we are not affiliated with any denomination or religious association, we literally have friends all over the world. Our fellowship with God's people is both real and precious. And the Lord our God has graciously given us a unity of heart and purpose in Christ. While most churches are torn with strife and division over petty quarrels, our assembly has been united in one cause - THE GLORY OF CHRIST. I regularly receive requests for our tapes, bulletins, and tracts. And our radio broadcasts are gaining a wide audience. Four years ago, which of us could have imagined such blessings upon this assembly? "Truly, God is good to Israel!"

As God's blessings upon us have been exceedingly great, our responsibility as a congregation before God is also great. I hope that our missionary zeal will ever increase, and never diminish. It has been our privilege, for the past three years, to support three outstanding missionaries: Aaron Dumas in Kingston, Jamaica, Milton Howard in Chiapas, Mexico, and Walter Groover in Merida, Mexico. When we began supporting them, we did not have the funds to send any of them a single dollar. But God has supplied us with the means to send them each a substantial offering every month for three years. It has been much the same with our radio ministries, and the distribution of our tapes, tracts, and bulletins. We began each of these ministries without any financial ability to carry them. Yet, they have all been blessed of God to the good of his people; and he has supplied every need.

This is what I am saying - Let us continue to preach the gospel of God's free grace, for the glory of Christ and the good of his people, with open hand and open heart. If we are willing to give ourselves wholeheartedly to the work of the gospel, our God will supply our needs to do the work.
