HONOR GOD!

It is the responsibility of all men and women to honor God, to honor him by trusting the Lord Jesus Christ, his Son, and to honor him by living in obedience to his revealed will. It is the business of all in positions of influence over others to honor God and direct those subordinate to them to honor God.

CIVIL MAGISTRATES (local and national) must enact and enforce laws that reflect the honor of God (Rom. 13:3-4). FATHERS are responsible to see that their wives and children behave in a manner that honors God (Jos. 24:15). EDUCATORS are responsible to teach those things that honor God and to direct their pupils in the path of obedience and faith (Matt. 5:19). PASTORS AND ELDERS are responsible to both teach and preach no doctrine but that which comes from God and honors God and to insist that every activity, every part of public worship, and every ministry of the local church honors God (I Tim. 1:3; 4:11). It is the pastor's responsibility to take the oversight of the church and the church's responsibility to obey the rule of faithful pastors (Heb. 13:7, 17).

God requires that we all honor him, and God will see to it that we honor him, either to the praise of the glory of his grace in salvation or to the praise of his power and justice in judgment. THIS IS GOD'S PROMISE TO ALL - "Them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed" (I Sam. 2:30).
