HOW SHOULD I LIVE IN THIS WORLD?

I would do nothing to bring you into bondage. It would be wrong for me to give you a list of rules and regulations to live by. Paul gave us a good example for preachers to follow. Instead of telling us what to do or not to do in specific areas, he laid down principles, applicable to all men at, all times, and in all areas of behavior (See Romans 14:3-17). After that fashion, I offer these principles as suggested guidelines for our conduct in this world:

1.             Let every man stand or fall before his own Master - We are not the judges of God's people.

2.             The honor and glory of God must be our first consideration in all things - Will this thing honor or dishonor my God and Savior?

3.             We must not engage in such things as would hinder or bring reproach to the gospel of Christ -Will this be detrimental to the gospel?

4.             We must carefully avoid those things that might offend, or hinder the faith of, a weaker brother - Will this hurt, rather than help, the Kingdom of Christ?

5.             And we must carefully avoid those things which might hinder our own relationship with the Lord. (Eph. 4:30).
