Feelings and Experience

We do not and must not trust our feelings and experience. Christ alone is our trust. But religion without feeling and experience is as useless as a bucket without a bottom. Love cannot be known without feeling and experience. Show me a guilty man who has been pardoned, and I will show you a man who feels and experiences liberty. Show me a dying man who, believing on the Lord Jesus Christ, is anticipating eternal glory with Christ, and I will show you a man who feels the blessed experience of “a good hope through grace.”  Don Fortner
