Some of you who believe the
gospel have not yet confessed Christ publicly before men. You need to take care
of this matter. Our Lord said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be
saved." That is to say, Those who truly believe
on Christ will publicly confess their faith in him by baptism, as he has
commanded. Baptism is important. It is a matter of submission and obedience to
the Lord Jesus Christ. Anyone who is not submissive to Christ as Lord does not
have the faith of the gospel.
