"THE TRYING OF YOUR FAITH"

James 1:2

The trials and afflictions of life prove the faith we profess. They prove either that our faith is real, genuine, sincere and true, or that our faith is false, hypocritical and deceitful. The believer's trials drive him to Christ, the gospel and the fellowship of God's people. The hypocrite's trials drive him away from Christ, the gospel and the fellowship of God's people. The believer's trials make him patient. The hypocrite's trials make him irritable. The believer submits to the hand of God in his trials. The hypocrite rebels against the hand of God in his trials. What do your trials prove to you, the reality of your faith, or the hypocrisy of your profession?
