Submission

Ephesians 5:21

One great key to the peace and harmony of any society is "Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God". This principle is especially true in the church of Christ. If we would enjoy the blessed peace of God in our hearts, we must submit to the sovereign claims of Jesus Christ as our King, both in redemption and providence. And if we would enjoy the Peace of God in our midst, we must submit ourselves to one another. No believer should insist upon his rights or his desires. For the peace and unity of the church, and the glory of Christ, we submit ourselves to our brethren. The word is SUBMISSION, first to Christ, then to one another.
