A Fresh Start, With No Danger Of Failure

2 Cor. 5:17

Are you in a mess? Have you made a mess of your life? It may be that you have made such a mess of your life that you have been thinking about ending it all. I know exactly what you are going through. I have been there. I am not writing things I learned from a book. I am writing what I have experienced. I know what it is to have made such a mess of your life that you live in constant despair, disgust and anger because you have to live with yourself. And I know the way out of the mess you have made. Are you interested?

How would you like to start all over again, to wipe the slate clean and begin anew? What would you give for such an opportunity? If I could show you, upon the authority of God's own word, that it is possible for a miserable sinner like yourself to have the past wiped away and begin anew, would you be interested? Would you like to have all your sins forgiven by God and forever forgotten? Would you like to have perfect and unalterable acceptance with God forever? Would you like to be able to live in the assured hope of eternal life? What would you give to be able to lie down at night without fear, without a tormenting conscience, with peace before God? These things are not a dream, but reality for all who are born of God.

This is what God declares in his Word - "IF ANY MANY BE IN CHRIST, HE IS A NEW CREATURE: OLD THINGS ARE PASSED AWAY; BEHOLD ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW!"

The only way out of the mess you are in is Christ. And the only way you can get in Christ is by faith. You must trust your worthless, sinful soul upon Christ. By his death upon the cross, Christ satisfied the wrath of God and put away all the sins of his people forever. By his obedience to God, as the Substitute for sinners, Christ brought in a perfect, everlasting righteousness for God's elect. If you trust him, you are one of his people, you are one of God's elect. Your faith is the evidence and proof of it (Heb. 11:1). As soon as you trust the Son of God, you are in him by a vital, indestructible union of faith. And being in him, you are a new creature, created by God in Jesus Christ. All your old record of sin is blotted out, and you have a new record before God of perfect righteousness. This I tell you, upon the authority of God's Holy Word - Trust Christ and you shall be saved forever!
