rom 13v08 Owe No Man Anything
"Owe no man
anything." Romans 13:8
It is a regrettable fact that
many who profess the name of Christ bring reproach upon that worthy name by bad
debts. A friend of mine, who once worked for the credit department of the Grant
Co., told me that her company considered preachers the poorest of all credit
risks. That ought not to be!
My friends, you and I who profess to be followers of
Christ, above all people, must be honest in our business affairs. We must learn
to live within our means. And we must not become overextended with our
financial obligations. To owe a debt and not pay it, when we have the means to
do so, or to make a debt we know we cannot pay, is a crime. It is called STEALING.
And God's people are not thieves'
