Justifying Grace

Romans 3:24

Justification was accomplished for God’s elect long before regeneration is experienced by us. We were justified in the purpose of God eternally (Romans 8:29) in, by, and with our Lord Jesus Christ, the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. We were justified by the purchase of blood at Calvary when our Savior died for us and paid our debt (Romans 4:25).

But in our experience of things justification comes to us and is known by us after regeneration, after we are born of God, as the result of our God given faith in Christ’s blood atonement (Romans 3:24-28).

            All who trust the Lord Jesus Christ are justified freely by the grace of God, without the works of the law. That means three things:

1. We are completely forgiven of all sin by the blood of Christ in Effectual Redemption.
2. The righteousness of Christ is imputed to us in Free Justification.
3. We “shall not come into condemnation!”

We are “accepted in the Beloved.” Thank God for that grace that freely justifies helpless, guilty sinners!
