To God Be The Glory

"O SING unto the Lord a new song; for he hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory." Psalm 98:1

We are gathered in this place today to worship the Lord Our God, because of the marvellous things he has done. We stand in awe before him as the Sovereign Creator, and wonder at his marvellous accomplishments in creation and providence. But these great things fade into the background when we behold him as our Merciful Savior! The marvellous things he has accomplished for us by his grace hold us in amazement. By his right hand and his holy arm he has redeemed us, called us, and saved us. In our singing, let us sing the praises of God for his grace; let us sing the new song of redemption. In our praying, let us give thanks for his marvellous salvation. In our hearing, let us seek a word from him. "To God be the glory, great things he hath done!"
