1th 05v18 In Everything Give Thanks

"In everything give thanks."

.I Thessalonians 5:18

Paul's admonition is plain and clear. As believer's we should give thanks to our God for all things, at all times, and in all circumstances. We should possess a heartfelt gratitude to our God for his good providence in adversity as well as in prosperity, in sickness as well as in health, in poverty as well as in wealth, in sorrow as well as in joy.

You might think to yourself, "That is very good philosophy, but it is not really possible." You are mistaken. We believe that God is good, wise, and almighty. He rules over all things for the good of his people. Nothing comes to pass in the lives of God's elect, except that which he brings to pass. If you do believe that, you can and should - "In everything give thanks: for this IS the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you." And that which is his will for you is best for you
